sticks amp

Down into the basement of the Mad Hatter we find a multi-faceted wonderworld where convience meets creativity.

Downstairs is where we store some of the yummiest food in Brighton. Our giant fridge keeping all that is in it cool so we can provide our customers with the just picked taste desired by so many. All our food is delivered fresh on a daily basis from some of the finest suppliers in the country. This is why our food looks, smells and tastes so damn good day in day out.

Not happy to settle at that, the basement doubles up as a recording studio for brighton rock wunderkinds The Sticks and a place for the staff to recover from a busy days work......read on.

The sticks are hot.

These boys lash out primitive rock 'n' roll love juice in our basement like wild neanderthals sucking the blood from the free world. Widely thought of as one of the most entertaining underground club sensations to hit Brighton since it gained city status. These guys pump out hot club bangers, thrashing around the dancefloor like wet limpets sucked of the rocks by the incoming tide.

To date they have played with the likes of The henchmen, The Phantom Surfers, The Rebel and The Hospitals. With Singles released in Japan and a soon to be released EP in the UK the Sticks are on the cusp of great things.

We love them.

Now we find time to relax. To calm the mind after a busy saturday or hard-ass Sticks session. Luckily, for the staff at the Mad Hatter, there is an area of the basement set aside for play and stimulation.

We have our very own private art collection consisting of stored Thai Monestary art, photography and paintings by sticks legend James. All adding to the ambience away from the noise.

Finally a chance for the men-folk to vent their competitive juices with a few rounds of Mario Kart. Check out the table below for the current world rankings.
